Did you already get your pattern for this ultralight minimalist Tyvek® wallet? If not it's FREE and right here.

FREE Tyvek® Wallet Pattern (pdf)

Tyvek® wallets like these are IDEAL for hiking trips where every gram counts, so they're a really popular MYOG* project.

5 grams. Fits UK banknotes. Rugged.

I designed this pattern because I couldn't find a Tyvek® wallet that was big enough to hold UK banknotes, which are wider than US dollars. That's fine if you only want to carry cards, but I wanted a way to carry notes too, since I often go to more out of the way places where card payments aren't accepted.

This wallet weighs 5g and will last a LONG time. You don't need any tape, and there's no sewing involved -  just the magic of clever folding and judicious cuts.

Do you have to use Tyvek?

Most people make these wallets from Tyvek® - the same tear-proof material used for wristbands at music festivals. It's breathable AND waterproof, and has a host of other amazing properties and applications, including PPE, packaging, envelopes, and house-wrap. But you don't have to use Tyvek to make this wallet - any paper will do. It's just that Tyvek lasts sooooo much longer. Like really long... almost nothing will destroy it.

There are three videos, but you don't have to watch them all. I just wanted to be as clear as possible, and give beginner-friendly tips along the way.
