I’m making these in honour of my favourite nylon wallet which was stolen on the night train to Krakow in 1994. These are modelled on that exact type of wallet - one we all had back in the day. The difference is today I’m using advanced technical fabrics (mostly 100% recycled) of a level of sophistication unavailable to 90s manufacturers.

No two wallets are alike - I've made each one individually, from a stack of parts I hand-cut from a range of technical fabrics, mostly Challenge EcoPAK EPX200™ - the world's first 100% recycled laminate pack fabric, but also including Ultragrid™, SilNylon, aramid sail fabric, and even some Dyneema®️ Composite Fabric (formerly known as Cuben fibre). 

I've bound these wallets with rugged nylon grosgrain, and triple-stitched them all (a level of finishing you won’t find on cheap mass-produced examples). 

Ready-to-Ship or Wild Card? You choose 

I’ve made an initial collection of ten wallets, to explore the possibilities of the 90s wallet form in the context of 21st century materials. These are available as Ready-to-Ship options.

You can also order a Wild Card wallet, made to order. You can add a note to your order if you want to ask for specific colours (based on the photos). If you’re happy to let me assemble your wallet for you, you don’t need to add a note.

No less than 14 individual hand-cut pieces go into the making of these wallets. I cut out a few in advance, put them in a box next to me, and assemble them with great care to make one-off pieces. Making these fantastic (and robust!) wallets in small numbers means I can add a high level of attention to each and every single element of the composition, including the placement of my signature mottos and slogans woven into old-school name labels.
