That's why I've made 10 of them, using unused (virgin) 1950s French linen I bought at the Grande Braderie de Lille. Each Clean Alibi Hussif comes with a mini pincushion and needlebook, and is populated with all the necessaries for sewing yourself back together - including folding scissors, a bodkin, and everything you see in the photo.
The hussif is a sewing kit and - yes - its name is derived from the word "housewife" [a woman whose spouse is a house].
The hussif is not a portable woman, but if a hussif contains that which keeps us from falling apart (and it does) then we all need one.
Sewing keeps us decent, warm, and no less than alive.
Without STITCHES, we'd be in DITCHES, and also perhaps need STITCHES, but be unable to get them because of our predicament in the DITCHES.
